Our client, a leading Retail chain is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team in Jordan.The roles and responsibilities of this position are as follows- Responsible for purchasing raw materials- Develop cost savings projects for raw materials purchasing- Render transparent purchasing transactions in conformity with audit requirements and company objectives- Ensure standardization in all purchasing activities through establishing written procedures, which involve Tendering, materials acceptance, inventory management and disposal of materials- Responsible for achieving the highest degree of economy and efficiency in purchasing activities and thus to safeguard company's rights and interests- Handles process negotiations including freight, discount and payment terms- Prepare a monthly report on activities and purchased materials for all departments
Skills
To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and attributes- University Degree in any related field- 5-10 years experience, 3 of which should be in a managerial position- Arabic and English speaker- Previous experience within supermarket chains is preferred
